Pet Portraits

Gretchen has included in her repertoire paintings of beloved pets.  She has created original portraits of horses, cats, birds and dogs in her home studio in Colorado Springs.  She can paint these wonderful pets in watercolor, oil, or pastel, depending on your preference.  This example of her work, Lexie is in pastels on pastel board, 18" X 24".  To complete this painting, Gretchen took several photos of her dog, Lexie, learned the personality of the Old English, drew several sketches, and chose the colors to match her coat and personality.  The style of this painting is one using detail and vibrant colors.  If you would like to have a portrait of your loving pet, please contact Gretchen by contacting her through using the "Email Gretchen" tab on this web site.
