"Autumn Road"

The artist selected the palette for this painting with the idea of expressing strong color in a unified manner.  The deep orange tree is able to retain its importance due to the distinct yellows and greens found in the aspen forest and flora in the foreground.  In this rocky mountain scene, the blues and yellows of the looming sky compliment the yellow wildflowers.  The beckoning road stretches up and then down into the deep forest, calling to the onlooker to join in the natural wonders beyond.
